Mr & Mrs Leggit – Kitchen and Bathroom Project

The furniture used was a solid oak Mosscroft door by Callerton with some painted in midnight grey and the brief was to create something modern but still in keeping with the traditional history of the building and its materials.

We decided to go for a simple shaker oak door to tie in with the oak beams etc around the building, these were the items we wanted to stand out as the dominant feature/colour so the rest of the materials and colours chosen were to be more monochrome.

Again to tie in with the other materials used on the rest of the chapel, the midnight grey was also used to give a more dramatic effect and matched the RAL colour used for all of aluminium windows. This also helped break up the amount of oak being used as it is a large space that too much oak would have started to become a bit bland.

Cambridge Kitchens supplied the furniture for the Kitchen, Bathroom and Office on this project, The office furniture is a mix of gloss white cupboards with a chunky oak frame to complement the oak throughout the chapel.  The bathrooms came from top manufacturers Duravit and Hansgrohe.

To add a discreet feature to the bank of tall units we offset some midi units forward that housed the appliances and painted the surrounding units in the midnight grey, this added another depth and more dimension to this run of units.
