The Kitchen Industry Comes Together

For so many people the heart of their home is the kitchen, this is certainly true in today’s world. Cooking at home is playing an increasingly intrinsic role in the modern homelife. The kitchen is often being the focal point of a house and the place where all of the family come together. However, to bring you your dream kitchen we simply couldn’t do it alone. Your kitchen relies on many partner organisations, who are the best in their field, coming together to make your dream kitchen a reality.

On a very cold November morning last week some of the kitchen industry’s biggest and most loved businesses all met for a very special, albeit small, event hosted at the Potton Show Centre in St Neots. The purpose of the event? It was an opportunity for all of the key kitchen industry businesses to discuss how we can better work together to give you, our customers, better service and better kitchens. Joining us at the event was Potton, BSH group (Siemens, Bosch and Neff), Callerton, NACSBA (National Custom & Self Build Association) and of course Cambridge Kitchens and Bathrooms.

At the event we heard some brilliant talks from; Simon Jones (BSH Group), David Knaggs (Callerton), Michael Holmes (NACSBA), Becky Cousins (Potton) and James Herriot (Callerton). These are some of the most experienced people in the industry, it was an honor to have them all in the same room at once.

The talks were mainly focused on kitchen industry trends, but collectively they shined a very positive light on the UK kitchen industry. For example, 85%+ of kitchens installed in the UK are made in the UK (which is why we work with Callerton), 30% of customers say their kitchen designer was key to their kitchen (which is why we focus so much on training) and 67% of consumers say that their kitchen adds value to their home (which is why we take the time to find a solution that works for you and your home’s layout).

One of the key trends that was highlighted within the industry is for internet connected appliances, this is devices which can be controlled over the internet. This is why we work with Siemens and Bosch, because they are currently the market leader in connected kitchen appliances. We want to ensure that we’re bringing you the best and latest products for your kitchen.

Partner events such as this are key for all organisations to come together and make sure that we’re working together in the best way possible. At the end of the event there was one thing that everyone could agree on, it’s all about the customer. None of us would be around if it wasn’t for you, our customers. This is why together, we are pushing in our industry to make sure that exceeding your expectations and delivering the best possible service remains our primary focus.

Thank you to all of the partners and associated business that came, we’re already looking forward to working with you all in 2017!
