Another Great Kitchen And Bathroom Self-Build Event!

Last Thursday we ran another one of our Self-Build Live events in partnership with Potton. The event was aimed to give customers an insight into what is required when they’re planning their kitchen or bathroom for their self-build. The event was open to the general public as well as those building their own Potton home and we had a great turn out!

The event was kicked off by Dylan, Cambridge Kitchens and Bathrooms owner, giving a presentation on kitchen design and how to plan for your dream kitchen. The presentation was very well received with many of the attendees commenting how it really helped them to understand the full kitchen planning process.

Next it was into the kitchen of Potton’s Gransden show house (yes, built by us) for the fabulous Jo and her Neff cookery demonstration. She produced some incredible sweet pastries, fantastic cakes and amazing sausage rolls, needless to say all of the guests were suitably impressed! Oh and she also gave a full demonstration of all the top-of-the range Neff appliances. For example, using the incredible Neff oven which introduces moisture while it cooks (yes you read that right, moisture), Jo was able to give the sausage rolls a beautifully fluffy yet crisp finish. Below are some images of the food we all enjoyed.

Once everyone was suitably excited from Jo’s Neff demonstration, it was time to move on to bathrooms. To give the presentation our friends over at Sottini (a designer bathroom manufacturer) looked at how to plan your bathroom for your self-build. Next it was time for another of Jo’s cooking demonstration (hooray, yet more tasty morsels). This time Jo treated us to some more baking and a few delicious main courses, yet again showing the versatility of the Neff kitchen appliances.

Then the day was topped off with a tour around Potton’s new Passivehaus, which is to be opened to the public next month. Needless to say, the house is looking incredible! This will be Potton’s most contemporary house yet and we’ve fitted a stunning contemporary kitchen to match.

Everyone at the event was at different stages of their self-build, from those that were just starting to those that were nearing completion, yet everybody got something out of the event. Dylan commented: “we always enjoy these events because we can really get people thinking about the small details of their new kitchen. Plus, we love being able to show off our kitchens in the fantastic Potton show centre”.
